Fan
wing is a new concept for a type of STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) UAV. It is distinct from existing types of UAV by
using a fixed wingwith a forced airflow produced by cylindrical fan
mounted at the leading edge of the Wing.
An electronic speed control
or ESC is an electronic circuit with the purpose to vary an electric motor's speed, its direction and
possibly also to act as a dynamic brake. ESCs are often used on electrically
powered radio controlled
models, with the variety most often used for brushless motors essentially providing an
electronically-generated three phase
electric power low voltage source of energy for the motor.
Mini UAV CONCEPTUAL and PRELIMINARY DESIGN "Weight Sizing"
in the last post we introduced a general view about conceptual and preliminary design, and as we discussed preliminary design divided into three different stages
The
conceptual design process is shown in the following. It is a low fidelity study. It starts with the overall requirements and
specifications derived from the analysis of the mission requirements imposed on
the required mini UAS.
